Make sure to always get an adults help when using the kitchen. If you see an asterisk (*), that is a signal to get some help from an adult!
Try a Chocolate Chip cookie recipe that requires no baking, just a microwave!
You can substitute and sugar-free sweetener with regular white and brown sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbs. coconut oil
- 1 Tbs. Splenda
- 1/2 Tbs. Splenda brown sugar blend
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 1/2 Tbs. whole wheat flour
- 2 Tbs. sugar-free chocolate chips
- pinch salt
- 1 dash vanilla
Directions
Melt coconut oil in a coffee mug on low for approximately 30 seconds*. Once melted, add the Splendas ( or sugar), salt, egg yolk, and vanilla. Whisk very thoroughly. Add flour and continue vigorously stirring. It should resemble cookie dough. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
Liberally spray the sides of the mug with cooking spray. Microwave for approximately 45 seconds.
Repeat this process as many times as desired to create a whole batch! Once should create 1 cookie.

Have you ever tried a pomegranate? They are a sweet fruit filled with seeds. Here are some directions on how to open one and some fun recipes to try too!
Cut off the ends of pomegranate using a knife. *
You should know see that the inside of a pomegranate has sections. Using a knife*, cut those sections apart by standing the pomegranate on its end slicing downward.
Take apart the sections.
In a bowl of water, submerge the section and begin pulling off the little arils. (Pink Seeds) If there are any that aren't a bright magenta, discard them immediately.
After repeating the last step until all the sections are clean, throw out the skin and any white dividers. Scoop out only the seeds and discard everything else.
You are done! You can enjoy them plain or in one of these recipes. (If you realize that the seeds have a white crunchy part in the middle, don't be alarmed. You can eat the whole thing.)

Try a fresh and easy Pomegranate Smoothie!
Ingredients:
- 1 C. pomegranate juice
- 1 (6-oz.) carton vanilla fat-free yogurt
- 2 Tbs. honey
- 1/2 C. ice, crushed
Directions:
In a blender, throw in all ingredients. Cover and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
